JANET FLEMING Passed away peacefully at Villa Youville, Ste. Anne, Manitoba on December 8, 1999 at the age of 91 years. Janet is survived by her husband William of Winnipeg, Man.; son Doug Fleming of The Pas, Man.; daughter Isabel Slack of Melita, Man.; granddaughter Brenda Lavalee; sisters, Isobel Kerr of Moose Jaw and Gertie Miller of Hamiota; brother Jim Anderson of Hamiota. She was predeceased by her brother Lloyd Anderson; sister-in-law Mabel Anderson; brothers-in-law, Hugh Kerr and Dave Miller. Janet was born in Scotland, came to Canada and grew up in the Shoal Lake area. In 1947 the family moved to Dufresne, where they resided for a number of years before moving to the St. Vital area in Winnipeg. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 East at Navin Road, with viewing at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. The family wish to thank the staff at Villa Youville in Ste. Anne, Man., where Janet had resided since 1988. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janets memory to the charity of ones choice.
